Panang Curry

Panang Curry – Thai Panang curry with chicken and green peas. Easy 20-minutes homemade Panang curry recipe that is better than restaurants.



Serves 2 | Prep Time: 10 Mins | Cook Time: 10 Mins


Ingredients:

1 skinless & boneless chicken breast, cut into small cubes
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons Panang curry paste
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1/2 cup frozen green peas
4-6 kaffir lime leaves (slightly bruised)

Method:

Heat up a pot with oil. Add in the Panang curry paste and do a quick stir until aromatic. Add in the chicken meat and blend well with the curry paste, then add in the green peas, coconut milk, kaffir lime leaves, water and the seasonings. Lower the heat to medium and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes. Serve hot with steamed white rice.

Deluxe Baby Porridge

Serving: 2 servings of 8 oz | Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients:

1/4 cup rice
3 cups water
3 oz protein (chicken, fish, pork, or beef)
1 oz sweet potato (orange-color), cut into small pieces
1 oz pumpkin or kabocha, cut into small pieces
1 or 2 dried scallops (removed after cooked)
1 tablespoon dried silver fish, rinsed
1 ring onion, cut into small pieces
3-4 broccoli florets or 3 wedges tomato
1 egg yolk

Method:

Put the rice into a small pot and rinse with cold water a few times. Discard the cloudy water and add 3 cups of filtered water into the rice. Add all the ingredients into the pot and bring it to bowl on medium heat. Lower the heat to simmer, cover the pot, and let cook for 45 minutes or until the rice breaks down completely. If using egg yolk, lightly beat the egg yolk and add to the porridge. Stir a few times, and let cook for about 1-2 minutes. Before serving, remove the dried scallops (you can eat them) before using a blender to puree the porridge. Serve it cool to avoid burning your baby.

Sastojci

Biskvit:

– 7 kom žumanjaka
– 7 kom bjelanjaka
– 10 žlica šećera
– 1 žlica kakaoa
– 3 žlice brašna
– 1/2 žličice sode bikarbone

Krema:

– 4 kom jaja
– 10 dag šećera
– 4 žlice brašna
– 3 dl mlijeka
– 2 rebra čokolade za kuhanje
– 25 dag margarina


Priprema

Biskvit:

Žumanjke i bjelanjke odvojiti. Posebno izmiksati bjelanjke u čvrst snijeg. Brašno, šećer, kakao, žumanjke i sodu bikarbonu dobro izraditi.

Smjesi od brašna, šećera, kakaoa, žumanjaka i sode dodati izrađeni snijeg od bjelanjaka i sve zajedno lagano umiješati.

Smjesu izliti u pleh za pečenje koji ste prethodno obložili papirom za pečenje (masnim papirom) i peči na 180°C oko 25-30 min.

Kada je biskvit pečen još toplog zarolati ga s vlažnom krpom.

Krema:

U mlijeko zakuhati brašno, šećer i jaja. Kada se krema ohladi dodati izrađen margarin.

Smjesu podijeliti na dva jednaka dijela pa u jedan dio umiješati rastopljenu čokoladu.

Odrolati pripremljeni biskvit i premazati ga sa svjetlom kremom. Nakon toga premazati ga tamnom kremom.

Biskvit ponovno čvrsto zarolati. Staviti na hlađenje.

Posluživanje

Po želji se na roladu može staviti glazura od čokolade i ukrasiti listićima badema ili išarati rastopljenom čokoladom. Ja sam ovaj put stavila samo glazuru od čokolade.
